Kemerovo State University
Kemerovo State University was founded in 1974. The University has gone through several stages of its development from a small provincial Pedagogical College to one of the largest universities in Siberia. Kemerovo Teachers' Institute was opened on the base of the College, and in 1953, it received the status of the Kemerovo State Pedagogical Institute. In 1974, the Pedagogical Institute was reorganized into Kemerovo State University. Today KemSU is the flagship University of Kuzbass that dynamically involving in Siberian region development. In the independent ratings hold by both Russian and international organizations, KemSU traditionally ranks among the TOP-100 most popular Russian universities. The university ranks high in the Academic Ranking of World Universities-European Standard (ARES). In this connection, the University realizes the higher education programs corresponding modern educational tendencies and social-economic requests.
KemSU possesses modern research and educational laboratories and has over 20 research schools. The university's research projects have received grant support from Russian and international foundations.
The University is especially interested in organizing the internships and facilitates job placement at the leading companies and enterprises in Russia and abroad.
KemSU has the experience of training students from all over the world: within degree programs, exchange programs, courses of Russian as foreign languages and at the preparatory faculty for international applicants. Annually, it trains over 900 degree students from 14 countries (Armenia, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Viet Nam) and exchange students from Belgium, Italy, France and Germany.
The University in its classical tradition offers the programs of the pre-university education of the foreign students in Russian language in the Preparatory Department (in Russian as Foreign Language) since 1991. The program is focused on developing the foreign students' skills on different aspects of Russian language and training foreign students from different countries: Guinea, India, Sudan, Cote d'Ivoire, Laos, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Vietnam and China.

Admission procedure
Submit Application on-line
The University admission manager will contact you to help with the choice of the necessary educational option. You will receive the Admission letter in 1-2 days.
Sign Agreement
The University admission manager will send you Agreement where will be mentioned all conditions of study, tuition and living fee. You must sign Agreement and send back PDF copy.
Wait for the Official Invitation
Invitation for study visa will be issued and send to you by e-mail. The issuing time: about 35 days.
Apply for a Student Visa
Apply for a visa at the nearest Russian Embassy in your country. Legalize your Educational documents at the Embassy. Pay Visa fee at the Embassy.
Pay the fees
After you get visa you have to pay: Tuition fee and hostel fee for 1 year (According to the Agreement) and to pay the Insurance according to the Russian Medical Law.
Prepare your flight
You have to buy the ticket to Russian Federation and send the copy of your ticket to the University address not later than in 5 days before the arrival.
Arrival
We will inform the University about your arrival and their representatives will meet you in airport and transfer you to university.
Registration at University and final payment
The University admission manager will register you at the University and check you in at hostel. During the whole period of the study the University admission manager will support and direct you.
